Been trying to debug this issue. We have a custom build off of your templates.

We were running version 5.7.

I purchased the Updater and just rewrote the uspsshipping.asp, inccart.asp and incfunctions.asp.

For some reason I am getting a 404 error from fedex. Now, we are not under an HTTPS connection on our site, but I cannot get an answer from them that this is needed, as it never was in the past.

Here is the error:
There seems to be a problem connecting to the shipping rates server. Please wait a few moments and refresh your browser.
Error, invalid response from https://ws.fedex.com:443/web-services (400).

Here is my XML:
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:v9="http://fedex.com/ws/rate/v9"><soapenv:Header/><soapenv:Body><v9:RateRequest><v9:WebAuthenticationDetail><v9:CspCredential><v9:Key>mKOUqSP4CS0vxaku</v9:Key><v9:Password>IAA5db3Pmhg3lyWW6naMh4Ss2</v9:Password></v9:CspCredential><v9:UserCredential><v9:Key></v9:Key><v9:Password></v9:Password></v9:UserCredential></v9:WebAuthenticationDetail><v9:ClientDetail><v9:AccountNumber>142193736</v9:AccountNumber><v9:MeterNumber>104064864</v9:MeterNumber><v9:ClientProductId>IBTP</v9:ClientProductId><v9:ClientProductVersion>3272</v9:ClientProductVersion></v9:ClientDetail><v9:TransactionDetail><v9:CustomerTransactionId>Rate Request</v9:CustomerTransactionId></v9:TransactionDetail><v9:Version><v9:ServiceId>crs</v9:ServiceId><v9:Major>9</v9:Major><v9:Intermediate>0</v9:Intermediate><v9:Minor>0</v9:Minor></v9:Version><v9:ReturnTransitAndCommit>true</v9:ReturnTransitAndCommit><v9:RequestedShipment><v9:DropoffType></v9:DropoffType><v9:PackagingType></v9:PackagingType><v9:Shipper><v9:Address><v9:PostalCode>33309</v9:PostalCode><v9:CountryCode>US</v9:CountryCode></v9:Address></v9:Shipper><v9:Recipient><v9:Address><v9:StreetLines>11060 Cypress Run Circle</v9:StreetLines><v9:City>Coral Springs</v9:City><v9:StateOrProvinceCode>FL</v9:StateOrProvinceCode><v9:PostalCode>33071</v9:PostalCode><v9:CountryCode>US</v9:CountryCode><v9:Residential>true</v9:Residential></v9:Address></v9:Recipient><v9:SpecialServicesRequested></v9:SpecialServicesRequested><v9:CustomsClearanceDetail><v9:CustomsValue><v9:Currency>USD</v9:Currency><v9:Amount>XXXFEDEXGRANDTOTXXX</v9:Amount></v9:CustomsValue></v9:CustomsClearanceDetail><v9:RateRequestTypes>ACCOUNT</v9:RateRequestTypes><v9:PackageDetail>INDIVIDUAL_PACKAGES</v9:PackageDetail><v9:RequestedPackageLineItems><v9:Weight><v9:Units>LB</v9:Units><v9:Value>2.8</v9:Value></v9:Weight><v9:SpecialServicesRequested></v9:SpecialServicesRequested></v9:RequestedPackageLineItems></RateRequest>

Hi

If you were on version 5.7 you wouldn't be able to only update those three files from the updater - you would need to carry out a full update. That is going to have knock-on effects and not just with FedEx.

Okay, I got this, so question for you. Are you aware of any changes with FedEx that would now require our site to be HTTPs in order to connect to their API for WEbServices and rate calculations?

What is strange is the 404 error I am getting from them which is simply an HTTP response from their server. I would assume that this means they are not even accepting my requests.

Thanks
Matt

FedEx doesn't require the site to be on https to get a rate returned - I just tried on my demo store to be 100% sure.

Thanks Andy. Working with FedEx to see what is going on.

I understand the concern from your end with regards to a full update. I am in a bind with this b/c the system was very customize many many years ago and now I have to figure out what another did and ensure I do not break other functionality when dealing with the fedex stuff.

Appreciate the prompt replies from your team!

I'm just concerned you are going to break other parts of the site if you carry out a partial update - which would work out worse than not being able to connect to FedEx. Let's hope they can shed some light on it for you.

Everything is working as needed now. Found the issues with the XML package due to my old system.

Thanks again for the prompt replies.

I have informed the client that a full upgrade is needed, but they are electing to not adjust...

Have a great weekend and thanks again
