Hi there!

In the last updater for 6.8.2 it says:

"Previously the search page would take the sort order last set in the admin products page but the search page now has its own sort order selector to allow this to be overridden."

Can someone expand on this a bit? My search page is not showing a sort order option. I looked in the Main Settings but nothing new there that I could see. Currently search results are in abc order with no place to change it on the customer's end.

I'm a bit confused.

Hi Julie

That came up in testing and threw me at first. If someone has the filter bar set to allow different orderings then they would be likely to want it on the search page too. So I assume on the products page you aren't using the ordering on the products page filter bar?

I had removed the top filter bar from the product page ages ago since the addition of the side filter bar.

So I checked the Sort By in the Top Filter Bar (Main Settings) and now it shows on the Search Page. The alignment is a bit off from the other boxes.

But now I have Sort By on the Product page. I can hide that with CSS, I'm guessing?

Hi Julie there are two sort by on the products page to remove the top un-check the Customer Defined Sort: on the left in the admin main setting.

Hi Sinbad,

For the Sort By to appear on the Search page.... you have to check the Customer Defined Sort.

I did a bit of CSS to the top filter bar so I can live with it showing twice.
