Hello,

Sometimes we have a need to copy the invoice for an order to Word to make minor tweaks to the text. In the past this used to work as the invoices used HTML Table layout. With the new DIV layout the formatting is almost completely lost.

Is there a way to regain the option for a tabular layout? Or perhaps a way to export to word for editing?

Thanks.

Hi Austinelse, I just tried and the layout remained fine, Select Printable Invoice from the drop down, click on the order, right click on the page and select all right click again and select copy. Open word and blank document and right click select paste - Keep Source formatting.

Has anyone figured this out? I'm having the same problem, and even clicking "Keep Source Formatting" the formatting is lost. This is a major problem!

Im also having this same problem.

I need to sometimes email a customer a tweaked invoice with changes. now it looks like a gargled mess when I paste it into an email.

We use Serif Page plus for working with PDF files.
It's a great desktop publishing program.

Print to PDF then import to page plus and do what you need to.

There are other programs that play nice with PDF files as well.

Thanks for the work around David. Great info as usual!

I would however like to go back to the simplify of previous versions. We my employees could simply cut and paste to get it done.

I have a hint, the copy and paste with formatting seems to work on my Samsung android phone. But its still an issue on a pc.
