Hi, is there a way I can merge a customer's old account with a new one and have the old orders show in their current account?

If no orders are attached to the new account yet, then what we do is (have the customer) just change the email address on the old account to the new email address and the old orders will stay liked to the new account.

Hi, I did go ahead and change the email in the old orders to the old email but the customer is unable to see the orders in the order management.
Is there something else I need to do?

in your admin, look up the customers new account and go into that and click to "link orders to the account"

In the customer's account in admin there's no link orders to account but I do see all the order the customer made in the account.

I'm not seeing that on this account. I saw that a while ago on another account and was able to link that one.
It's not showing with this account.

I rechecked and they are not assigned to the account.
I added the old mailing address to the new account as a second address to see if that would cause the link to account to show or show the orders in the account. That didn't work.

I would go back and check the orders where you changed the email addresses and be 100% sure they match the account you want them to link to.

I did check and the email is correct. I’m not going to worry about it too much at this time as it was only for one customer.

Just to give an update. I talked to the customer and the orders are now merged to the one account.
