Where can I find info on how to add a details link from the product page to the detail page and how I can position it on the page?

You can add detaillink to the list of elements in the productpagelayout parameter https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/css-layouts.asp#productorder

If you want a button instead of a text link, also add this to includes.php

$imgdetaillink="button";

I already have a Detail link, but the following is not in the includes.php:

$productpagelayout='productimage, addtocart, productid, sku, productname, manufacturer, discounts, reviewstars, instock, custom1, description, options, listprice, price, currency, quantity, dateadded, custom2';

I am at 6.6.3. Evidently, the layout for the products page can be handled in another way. I basically want to change it from a text link to a button, which you have explained, but I am not sure how to move it from the upper right-hand corner of the layout to the bottom center.

I've actually got a couple of sites; one that is css and does not have a detail link on the products page and another site that is css that already has a detail link, but I need to change it to a button and move it down to the bottom center. I figure if you can assist with the one I provided a link to, it will help with the other.

That one uses a table based layout https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/layouts.asp#product - $useproductbodyformat=1; - the elements can't be moved in a table layout, only in the css layouts.
