How can I make the Product ID/SKUs searchable?
I don't have enough space in search words to include every SKU with some Products that have lots of options.
Example
PRODUCTAsizecolor - visible product with below items being hidden but skus need to be found by typing in search bar. PRODUCTA36BL PRODUCTA36WH PRODUCTA48BK PRODUCTA48GR

OK.. So a BIG suggestion/request to make this a near future feature!!
Most retail site offers the SKU as a searchable option and it would be of great benefit.
Thanks for the info.

that may be true for visible products, but a hidden sku will not generate when it's an alternate option of a visible product.
I'd like all 10, 12, 25, etc hidden SKUs of a visible product to land on the visible product when searched..
That is the part that is causing me trouble.

Sorry but you said "Most retail site offers the SKU as a searchable option and it would be of great benefit." - if it is hidden we made allowance for that by offering the search words feature - I'm not sure what else we can do there. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

If there is a green, blue, yellow, black, red, purple, teal, pink, white t-shirt in sizes: xs, s, m, l, xl, xxl, 3xl.. I am not aware of a single site that has every option visible individually??
So in that scenario, none of the individual products are visible... making the search feature for the individual skus useless... unless you can fit them all into the search words in the main product.
that's a lot of individual codes for 1 product with options. the search words area is too short.. I can't always include all of the skus... as I run out of room.
Does this make more sense to what I am trying to convey? Is there a way to expand the search bar number of characters?

yeah.. thanks.. that not really the issue. But I will look at that as an add on feature.
We have a catalog that is extremely Product ID based.
Is there a way to make the search words character count bigger? If not, it is only an issue on a small percentage of items and we will just have to live with it.

I was placing search "terms" in the Search Words box until I went back and looked at a live page. When you hover over a search term, it only highlights a single word in the term. Am I wasting time by placing terms (phrases) here, instead of single words?

Thanks Vince. I was thinking that entering search terms there would produce the product when someone entered the term on the search page. I wasn't thinking Google, but maybe Google can read that far into the page to pick up those search words (terms).?
(not important, just curious)
