Please help with this new problem after upgrading to 6.8.4 , asp version.

When I click on the details of any order, I am presented with this screen with a horrible waste of space, empty parts and the actual meat of the order (what was ordered) is completely off the page causing scrolls up and down just to look at the details of one order. Please tell me this is a css problem that is easily fixed. If not, how can it be undone!? Thank you!

Hi, first can you try clearing the browser history / cache to make sure its not caching a older css file.

Hi

You can add your own css to the admin to give you control over the layout and spacing. Upload a file called ectadmincustom.css to the vsadmin folder with the following css

div.container {
padding: 0px 2px;
}
div.address, div.shipaddress, div.adddetails, div.orderstatus, div.shipping, div.authcapture {
padding: 1px 2px;
}

You can tweak that to get the spacing you prefer.

Hi Sinbad. I did clear Firefox cache, restarted computer and then even tried Safari browser which I've never used for the admin area. The orders details page still looks exactly as posted.

Andy, are you saying the layout I am seeing is completely normal and that I need to make another css file to change the look of the admin, hopefully back to the way its been in previous versions?

As far as I can see the layout is normal. The admin orders page is now css based which means there is now user control over things you mention like the the spacing. I would try the css I suggested and see if that give you what you want.

Hi, I tried adding the css file to the vsadmin folder with no luck. Tried clearing of the cache and tried Firefox and Safari. :(

If you open the page yourstoreurl.com/vsadmin/ectadmincustom.css in your browser, do you see the file you uploaded? If you have two vsadmin folders for security reasons, make sure it has been uploaded to the renamed version.

I do see the css file contents using the URL.

I've never changed the name of the vsadmin folder.

Can you force a refresh Ctrl + Refresh in the admin orders page and see if that makes a difference? If not, send me the control panel details to me and I'll take a look for you.

I checked your admin and the css file is correct and has reduced the spacing. If you want to take it further you could add this too

colheading h2{font-size:13px;margin-bottom:0px}
