Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_query() in /*****removed***/createdb.php:2123 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /***removed***/createdb.php on line 2123
I am having a huge mess with my website. I tried to update to 6.7.4 and didn't realize that my host php was only on 5.3. I also didn't create a backup of my database. So now I'm stuck. My host has plans to upgrade but no date. I then decided to try to move my site to my Hostgator hosting account. I moved all my files and tried to do an export/import of database and that is not working. Even HG support can't import it. I wanted to try to just create the basic database from scratch using createdb.php and I am getting the above error! I just don't know what to do now! Can someone PLEASE help me? :(
Thanks, Wendi
P.S. Not sure why it's saying pre-sales. I just bought year updater 2 days ago.

Hi Andy,
Thank you for responding quickly. My host does do db backups every night at 2am and I didn't know this until you just asked! So it's probably too late now (this started on Saturday morning). I did just open a ticket though.
On HG I can choose any php version up to 7.1. The error on the createdb.php page says this: When reporting support issues, please quote your PHP version number which is 7.1.4
Thanks, Wendi

when exporting database using phpmyadmin, these are the default checkboxes. Do I need to change/check/uncheck any of them?

You shouldn't have to make any changes to the defaults. You may need to change the syntax in db_conn_open.php (and possibly includes.php) when using PHP 7 or above - take a look here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=107737 Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

I have already made the changes to db_conn_open.php and checked includes.php.
Host said that backups are every 24 hours. So I guess I'm too late for a Friday night/Saturday morning version of the database. How do I know for sure? Any new tables or anything that I can check?

No I think I was on 6.7.0 beta before updating. That worked on the php 5.3.
Thanks, Wendi

Hi Wendi, let me see if I get this. 1. updatestore.php (6.7.4)ran on the old host but the scripts were not compatible. 2. On hostgator your trying to run createdb using php 7 but the script is not compatible - Open createdb at the top around line 7 what is the version number? 3. the import into hostgator is failing - could be the database is not created with the proper permissions.
