It seems like library files can not be used in this template?

I have many items that I put on many products, but obviously having items as a library item, make it much more manageable for editing.

When I insert the library code into a product description for example, it detaches from the actual library file and does not update.

Thought? Suggestions? Help! Thanks in advance.

Hi Michelle, haven't use those in a long time, but check that you are inputting the code with-in a editable region. As a example:

<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="column1" -->

<!-- #BeginLibraryItem "/Library/news-boxes/recent-events.lbi" -->
<div>
<?php $minicssaction="recentview"?>
<?php include "vsadmin/inc/incminicss.php" ?></div>

<!-- #EndLibraryItem -->
<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

ok.. I'll try that. I did not have the editable region code.

Hopefully that works! thanks.

OK: So after thinking this thru.. I'm not sure I asked it correctly. I am placing the library item code within the Short Description box thru the dashboard.

Isn't the short and long description in the an editable region "body"?

I put the library item within the short description box (but that does not update if I make changes and upload them)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<!-- #BeginLibraryItem "/library/IconsWarningSigns.lbi" -->
<h2>
Not sure what you need?</h2>
<p>
<strong>Click on the icons below to learn more about signs and mounting systems.</strong></p>

more of my code..XXX

<!-- #EndLibraryItem -->
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Michelle

You wouldn't be able to add Library Items through the admin I'm afraid, that's something only for Dreamweaver and within the editor.

Hi Michelle, if you want custom text on the detail page then you can use the custom fields custom1, custom2 or custom3 for that and add your text to those fields. https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/phphelp/ecommplus/parameters.asp#csslayout It can be added to all products or just some products.
