While trying to track down another error, the following incorrect messages were shown for a couple recently edited products and their option list:

"Some of these options are not currently in stock but are available to back order."

and then

"Cart total:undefined"

The stock issue is inaccurate. The tested amounts are less than the actual stock number. The ids look correct so I cannot find what error was introduced that created this problem.

Edit: this is occurring for other items too.

Our sales have dropped precipitously in the last week since the last update!

After removing the 'backorder' option from the underlying option items, the error message disappears.

So, back ordering option items are not allowed or is this a bug?

The "Cart total:undefined" error appears after selecting some items with product options.

These items cannot populate the cart.

Please explain why, but after updating the PHPMailer files the "Cart total:undefined" issue seems to have disappeared.

Hi

I'm not sure to be honest but can you receive email without the phpmailer files and is the backordering ok now?

Yes the phpmailer system now works.

It appears the backorder issue was an 'operator mistake'. The main product item plus the option items both had the backorder checked. Unchecking the backorder setting from main product item and leaving the option items seems to fix that issue.
