Hey Guys,
Paypal has been promoting their newer integration that essentially allows the customer to not leave the website. You may have seen it. You click the paypal button but instead of leaving the website to a paypal server, it opens another window?
I was wondering if we could expect to see this updated integration on the ECT software?

Hi Graham, Isn't that " PayPal Express Payments" which is already supported ? Ref ECT Payment Provider Number 19. That places a " Checkout with PayPal" button at Step 1 of the ECT Checkout process, which instantly forwards them to PayPal. The problem is that the Delivery Charge is not calculated and added to the Total Due until ECT Checkout Step 3. So "PayPal Express" only processes a payment for the Items ordered, not including the Delivery fee, which renders that particular payment method useless. If that issue could be resolved, then great ! Paypal Express works perfectly including adding the delivery charge to the total payment.

No, it isn't PayPal Express. This is a new payment integration.
It is distinctly different in how it logs the customer in. I've seen it on several websites like Newegg.com and the integration is just nice from a customer standpoint.
This also allows for other payment methods including PayPal Credit (I'd love to be able to offer this) and Venmo (seems a bit gimicky)

Good to hear! I guess I'm just old and out of the loop. That's just one more reason that this new integration should be a priority. Do you agree?

Ultimately I just want to know that you guys are aware that there is a newer / better / more feature rich integration for what I imagine is a primary payment processor for many ECT users.
You're welcome to move it to the suggestions forum. We would be very happy to see the integration made available to us.
