I just switched from Godaddy to A2-Hosting and now I'm not receiving my new orders. I get the email that I purchased an item and I get the email from PayPal; but not a "New Order" email.
Can you help?

Hi Brian

It may be the Email object / user / password is different for the new host - have a look here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/email-help.asp and your host should also be able to provide you with the correct settings.

That will be CDO then and the SMTP Server, user and password provided by your host.

At Godaddy, I used to use CDONTS. Why don't I see it as an option now?

Different hosts will support different email objects, your current host supports CDO which is pretty much standard these days.

CDONTS was discontinued by Microsoft 15 years ago, that's why you don't see it as an option now. If you do see it, run away

The hosting company advised me to switch from Pop3 to IMAP (which I did). The emails seem to work better as far as being sent and delivered; BUT i'm still not receiving any "new Order" emails. The payment email comes through though.

Any advice?

Have you checked they are not going to spam / junk folders?

I checked the email a friend on your site and no email was received here so there probably still is a problem with the settings in your admin. Can you ask your host if they have a test script for sending email from an ASP page that you can look at? You can send that on to my email and I'll check the settings for you.

It's Monday and I'm a little dense today.

I have the .txt file. Should I copy and paste the file to an email to you with the email info or do you just want the entire original txt file sent to you?

I would copy & paste into an email as .txt attachments are sometimes blocked.
