This message is showing directly below the admin login box.

[blue]Warning: Unknown: write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0[/blue]

The store owner has two ECT sites that they login to. Their other site admin login is fine. The last successful login was Wednesday evening, no update has been run and no files appear to have modified on the server from the FTP details I can see.

I have tried logging in from my location and I get the same, but what I have noticed is that having tried to login and getting that message the login info is no longer stored. First time I've seen this message. Help !!!!!!

Hi Will

I would pass the error onto the host as it may well be the /tmp folder is full

Response from host - [blue]although the folder contain several files, this particular hosting package web space is not limited. Perhaps there is a limitation from the website software itself? We can empty this folder if you wish. Just let us know.[/blue]

There's no limit from the software that I'm aware of, it could also be a permissions problem if the tmp folder can't be written to.

Hi Will,
That's a very common error and most definitely the host's responsibility and an easy fix. Who's the host?

I would have another word with them.

Hi Phil

It's Heart Internet.

Never had any real issues since started using them in 2008. But since GoDaddy acquired them in Dec 2016 they have certainly gone downhill.

Just tried logging in and it works fine. Hosting outfit haven't mentioned that they have done anything so I shall leave it with customer to see how it goes.

Phil, out of curiosity what would the fix be?

Hi Will,
The fix is to free up some disc space so the session data can be written to the /tmp directory.
