I've removed the old files from the server and uploaded the new store. I then updated the db_conn file. I'm currently getting this error:
Unknown column 'adminStoreURLSSL' in 'field list'
Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_assoc() on boolean in /home/shopstoneage/public_html/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php on line 2184
https://www.shopstoneage.com/index2.php

I used to have to set the path to SSL in the includes file, but I don't see that in the new version. Am I supposed to set this elsewhere?

Although I deleted all the store files from the server and only have the new, generic responsive version, I did keep the database that was already there. Could that be the issue?

Hi Deborah

That does mean the admin files and database are on different versions so updating will sort that out.

I deleted the database and recreated it. The current error is:
Table 'stoneagestore.admin' doesn't exist
https://www.shopstoneage.com/index2.php

How do I update? I thought I bought the most recent full generic version and am installing it from scratch after having deleted all the old files....

It sounds like you do have files and database from different versions. You shouldn't need to delete anything just run the updater and that will put the admin files and database in synch.

I just bought the generic responsive cart on 7/9/18 for $159. Do I need to purchase an updater too?

You get 6 months of updaters and support with the licence purchase so you don't need to buy anything. It just sounds like you have mixed the files and / or database between the old site and new one but running the updater will sort that out.

Hi Andy,
I ran the updater on the site and everything was working perfectly until I imported the database via phpMyAdmin. Now I have the error
Unknown column 'emailfromname' in 'field list'
Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_assoc() on boolean in /home/shopstoneage/public_html/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php on line 1734
I deleted the database, recreated the database, imported the database, reuploaded all of the update files, and ran the updater again. The generic store is showing up: https://www.shopstoneage.com/index.php.

BUT, I cannot log in to admin. I tried the username and password that goes with the database I imported, the generic mystore username and corresponding password, and also tried resetting it using the current password reset .php file which I downloaded, unzipped and uploaded today. I tried each of those multiple times, but still cannot get in.

Just tried the password reset and admin login in Firefox and I'm in.... could this have been a Chrome caching issue?

Hi Deborah

Quite possible that Chrome was the culprit. It's known to be very aggressive at caching and that is something that Andy has mentioned a good few times over the last few years on here.

One thing I do for all website design work is from the 5 browsers on my main PC Microsoft Edge is set to never ever save history cookies etc. I've been up many a long path with changes / updates not showing in Chrome knowing full well I have made & saved the changes.
