When customers create user accounts the account is automatically marked with WSP giving each new client wholesale pricing.

Some how each new client account is defaulting with WSP: how do I stop this?

Have a look in vsadmin/includes.php

Find this line

$defaultcustomerloginactions=8;

and remove it.
