Just updated from 6.9.2 to 6.9.4
When I click on add to cart ( image) to add an item to the cart from either products page or proddetail pages, nothing happens!
Is there a setting I missed?
I have checked to make sure all the new js and css files are updated can of course all the vsadmin files. I also have tried on different browsers and cleared caches.

Hi

The usual reason for that is the path to be ectcart.js file not being correct, not added to pages or uploaded to a different location. Can you let us know the URL so we can take a look?

where is that path set?
Also when I tried to use the dynamic bread crumbs nothing would happen when changing the selection at the dropdown menu. Maybe the same problem?

Yes, that would be the same problem.

You need to make sure you have this line somewhere before the closing </head> tag and best to put it on all front end store pages

<script type="text/javascript" src="/js/ectcart.js"></script>

Yes, that was the problem and seems to be working now. I didn't see in the documentation that that needed to be added.

Hi Crystal,

When running the updatestore file you are presented with the following on screen.

[green]The Ecommerce Templates cart checkout is now fully CSS based. If you have not already included the CSS file necessary for formatting it will be very difficult for your customers to navigate the checkout section and other parts of your site. More details are available here...[/green]

[green]The Ecommerce Templates cart checkout now uses an external javascript file, js/ectcart.js. If you have not already included the JS file necessary your customers will not be able to add products to cart or checkout. More details are available here...[/green]

Also, before the updater will run you have to check two check boxes which clearly state:

[green]Please check here to indicate you have added this CSS file to your site.
Please check here to indicate you have added this JS file to your site.[/green]

If you do press the update button without having checked the two check boxes you will see a browser pop up that states - [green]Please check the box to indicate you have added the CSS Checkout file to your site.[/green]

Thank you for the clarification. I did see that message, but thought that it just meant to upload it to the site which I had done. I just wasn't reading properly so I hadn't added the .js file to the code. I added the css a long time ago so that part wasn't a problem.
