We've had this issues before, but I can't find the original thread ... when we generate a sitemap, or crawl the site with an auditor, we getting 43 sets of duplicate titles and meta descriptions with "/\/" being inserted after the .com on the duplicate pages, but we can't seem to find what is causing it.

We ONLY see "/\/" in the sitemap and in the Website Auditor crawl ... so we delete the sitemap and re-crawl with the same errors popping up

Any ideas?

Could it be something in the .htaccess file - what do you have there?

No ... we checked that first ... it ended up being a static category page without a leading "/" in the URL.
