For now you can set the height of div.category to the tallest of your category images. This might help. With so much variation in those images, your options are a bit limited to make it look good. It might be good to lay down some rules for your images. When I create category images, I keep them all the same height and width. If they are an odd shape, put them in a white box that is set to your dimensions. You can also set a max height for your category images (with .css) to constrain those images and that should help.
