Hi

I've just done what I do every morning to update our stock numbers with a CSV file, but I've got this message and don't know why.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
ERROR:
Column list is: "#65533;#65533;pid,pinstock"

Hi Iain

It looks like you may have some errant characters at the beginning of the file. Can you open that up in a text editor like Notepad++ and check that?

Hi Andy

That was the first thing that I checked and the file looks like:

pID,PInStock
TBM1001,36
TBM1002,87
TBM1003,30
TBM1004,27
TBM1005,28

Went back a few days to when I know it was working and it looks the same

Can you open the file again in Notepad++ and then go to Encoding > Convert to UTF-8 without BOM and then save the file and try the upload again?

And this is why you don't have 4 weeks off work! Human error - I was in the wrong directory and choosing the unedited file to upload. Sorry Andy. Have a good New Year

Glad you were able to sort it out.

Happy New Year
