Hi Mark

It's always good to check with the payment provider even when orders show as unauthorized. Did this just happen on one order or does it happen on all PayPal orders - it may be that this customer closed the browser too early or something like that.

Good Morning....
It is happening on all orders.
I did a small transaction on my own credit card... same result.

That's not so good then. Did you get any sort of error message reported?

Can you let us know what version of PHP your server is running, it should be a minimum of PHP 5.6 - also which PayPal method is it?

Well.... PHP 5.4.2

Not sure how to answer the "PayPal Method"

Have never changed anything since the time I set it up 4-5 years ago....

Can you go to your hosting control panel and update the PHP version to 5.6.

In your store control panel go to the payment provider admin page and check which payment method is enabled.

You should fix that. PHP 5.4 was end-of-lifed years ago, PHP 5.6 and 7.0 are also technically dead at this point. ECT has no problem running on any recent version, we have tested right up to the latest 7.3.1 without any issues so far. 7.2 is what we recommend at the moment.

In all farness.... the computer we have been using as a server has been on borrowed time.

I have a Dell T310 that is going to be put into service. Where can I get the instruction on migrating over to the new server from the old one

May also need the instructions to set up all the right stuff on the server. It has been a long time since I did it. I do have MySQL already loaded. Had some issue migrating over however.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

We don't have any instructions here, it's not something we tend to get involved with really as we just offer the shopping cart software. Depending on your set up etc there will be plenty of online tutorials but I think server stuff is best left to the experts as a lot of things can come back and bite you later on if things aren't set up correctly.

Guess this was more a question on migrating the store data. Do really want to lose my history. Thought at one time I saw instructions on do this so I get all the eCommerce data.
