Hi all,

Just a quick one, I have been messing around with the SQL database and cleared all past orders out, now when a new order is placed it starts from order number 1, I seem to remember from years ago you could set a starting number in the includes file but can't for the life of me remember how to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi James

There isn't a way to do it via includes.asp. Maybe the post from Phil here will point you in the right direction https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=110287

Hi James,
When you cleared away your orders I'm assuming you emptied the orders table. Just a quick note, it's good practice to also empty the cart and cartoptions tables as there will be related data in there and it's quite possible later on that an order may display an option from the cartoptions table when or if that option matches an order ID.
