Hi Guys,

Phil, you answered all of my questions. I wasn't thinking of it as a fresh install, I was thinking it would be installed over top of my current store so part of the install (data base connection, includes.php, vsadmin folder and son on) would already be done.

I originally purchased ECT just under ten years ago, and at that time I did the install myself. What I would like to do is pay the $65 USD for the responsive design replacement software and install it myself. If I run into problems and am unable to install it myself then pay the additional $380 USD for the Responsive Design Upgrade Service. If business wasn't so slow for the last several months I would pay the $445 USD right away so I didn't have to mess with it (of course if business wasn't so slow for the last several months I probably wouldn't be upgrading). Is this something you normally let customers do?

Again, thanks so much for all you help.

Hi Guys,

I'm getting an error message on my Products, Categories, and Cart pages, here is the error form my Products page:

Unknown column 'cpnStartDate' in 'where clause'
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function free_result() on boolean in /homepages/25/d203542643/htdocs/u36396000/Ecomm_RD_Monochrome/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php:1827 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/25/d203542643/htdocs/u36396000/Ecomm_RD_Monochrome/vsadmin/inc/incproducts.php(557): ect_free_result(false) #1 /homepages/25/d203542643/htdocs/u36396000/Ecomm_RD_Monochrome/products.php(121): include('/homepages/25/d...') #2 {main} thrown in /homepages/25/d203542643/htdocs/u36396000/Ecomm_RD_Monochrome/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php on line 1827

I am guessing it is an issue with my DB. My current store version is Ecommerce Plus PHP v7.0.1, it was from this DB I exported most of the DB tables (data only) and imported them into the DB made with Ecommerce Plus PHP v7.1.8 (after I emptied these tables). Everything in the control panel seems to be working. What do I need to do to correct this?

Thank you.

Hi Brian,
What I would suggest is get the 7.1.8 php updater from here - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/updaters.asp

And apply it in full to both your sites so they're both on the same version.

Don't forget to browse to the updatestore.php script to update the database structure.

Hi Guys,

I just went live with my updated Responsive Design store, everything went smoothly and I'm good to go, I am very happy with it. There is an issue that has come up in the control panel's Product Administration. I have two drop down menus that can't be changed, the Sorting Menu and the menu in the blue bar on the left just above the products (it starts with "Quick Entry"). The menus drop down and I can select something else but as soon as it closes it switches back to what is was before. I tried re-applying the updater thinking that sounds like something you would tell me to do, but it didn't help. I searched the Forums but couldn't find anyone else that has had a similar problem. These are menus I rarely use and it's not a huge loss if they don't work. Could there be other related issues that I haven't found yet?

Thank you.

Hi Brian,
If you're using firefox can you do the following:
Go to options > general > privacy and security > cookies and site data > manage data > search for your domain and remove it

Let me know if that sorts it out
