Hello,

Earlier this year, our company purchased the ECT responsive design (Ecommerce Plus PHP v7.0.4)
to upgrade our web-store. We also purchased the Responsive Design Upgrade Service. Our site was working without any bugs until about a month ago when we started receiving email from authorize.net showing that a transaction had been approved, but we never received an email from the store with the order details. After logging into the store we could see the orders, but they showed the orders as "unauthorized." I sent an email to the person who did the update of our store and was told not to worry about it, that it was more than likely a one time error. Well, the above problem continued to happen so I went to our site and ran a purchase in the web-store and I received the following message:

Association with Authorize.Net
Thank You For Shopping at Our Store
Sorry, there seemed to be an error !
If you need any help with your purchase, then please be sure to contact us.
The error report returned by the server was:
1 (1) This transaction has been approved.
Continue Shopping
Please Click Here to Head Back to Our Store

After receiving the above message, I did receive an email from authorize.net saying the transaction had been approved, but no email from the web-store with the order details.

So what is going on here? We had made no changes to the site, and all of a sudden it stopped working.

Thank you,
Dean

Hi Dean
Firstly, sorry to hear you are having a problem. As the site was working after the upgrade then it seems something HAS changed since then, which could either be Authorize.net or the hosting. But in any case I'll take a look for you if you send the site FTP login details to vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com.

Hi Dean
I think I see what is happening and this is to do with Authorize.net phasing out the SIM integration method. As you don't have an MD5 Hash set, the callback is now failing by default. You can't create a new MD5 Hash for Authorize.net now but you can create a Signature Key for the new Accept Hosted method, details here...
https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/authorizenet.asp
On your admin payment providers page, click on Modify for for Auth.net SIM and then change the integration method to Accept Hosted. Then create a Signature Key as in our help page above.
You also need to create a Webhook pointing to your ppconfirm.php page as in these instructions.
If you need any help with this, please let me know.

Vince
