I received an email from a client this morning who said that her customer used their payment page to pay an invoice, with working settings to add a 3% processing fee, but that her customer's handling fee was doubled.

The only way I could re-create the problem was to get to the credit card screen itself then hit the back button - which should have invalidated the transaction - but it allowed me to return to the credit card screen and sure enough, the handling fee was doubled.

BUT, the transaction WAS marked red with no authorization code, yet the customers earlier transaction was NOT marked red and DID have an authorization code from Authorize.net.

PHP v6.9.6

Any suggestions?

I can't seem to reproduce this here but could you possibly let me know the URL of your clients site so I can see if I can reproduce it there? There may be some difference in setup that is allowing this to happen. If you send the FTP login details too I can debug what is going on. My email is vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com

Hi Tim
It seems on the admin main settings page you have a 3% handling charge set and on the payment providers admin page you have a 3% handling charge for the card processor and this is the problem. You mentioned in your email that this actually occurred on all orders, not where you use the back button so it's not a bug really but just a case of needing to remove (probably) the handling charge from the admin main settings page.
