Posted - 08/08/2019 : 11:07:59 I have mentioned this numerous times over the years, since it has not been added Yet, I would like to mention it again. I would like the customer to pay for the shipping insurance if they choose that option. But I've got this done for both ASP and PHP now and I've put up a Beta version in case you or anyone else wants to give it a go before it all goes live. https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/updaters.asp?betas=true Setting the "Add Insurance / Force Insurance" parameters is now done in admin. For shipping options where the insurance rates do not come from a Shipping Rates Server, you can now in admin set a minimum insurance rate and an additional percentage above this rate. The insurance rates can be set separately for Domestic and for International. USPS and Canada Post now get the insurance rates from the shipping rates server. Because of this there is no parameter to use USPS insurance rates. On the admin discounts page you can set if a Free Shipping Discount is applicable to Insurance and other optional services or not. When using carriers like UPS or FedEx that offer options such as Saturday Delivery, if you set a Free Shipping Discount to not cover insurance, it will also not cover additional services like these.
