We have a customer on version 7.1.6 that has the setting in the includes.php set to $blockmultipurchase=5;
The problem is that people are getting blocked after 3 orders, not 5.

Here are my debugging steps:
I changed the setting to 6 - didn't work, still blocking after 3 purchases
I checked the syntax of the $blockmultipurchase= - it is correct
I deleted the blocked IP to try again - still blocks after 3 purchases
I took out the $blockmultipurchase= line out of the includes.php and now i can place as many orders as i want

How can I make this work?

I really need some help here folks. I need the $blockmultipurchase= to work correctly... no matter what the value is set to, it blocks after 3 purchases.
I have it currently disabled and i am just waiting for the flood attack to happen.

I'm really sorry your message was missed but is updating to v7.1.7 a possibility? The multi purchase blocking was overhauled for that version and those parameters are now included in the admin and I'm pretty sure that updating will make the problem go away.
