I want to Reorder images in database. What does this actually do?

Also I want to Set database collation. Again is there any information on these procedures?

Hi Terry
reordering images will just set the image number to 0, 1, 2, 3...and so on in order. It's a really minor thing but it can speed things up in some instances if the image numbers are in sequence.
For the collation, it's quite a complex issue but you can see more about it in the mySQL documentation...

But in general, if it ain't broke, it probably doesn't need fixing. The only exception I would say is joining tables can be quicker if set to the same collation, so if you have the majority set to one and just a couple set to another, it could give a performance boost to set them all the same.
