Braintree Express unconfirmed addresses

Posted - 03/30/2020 : 10:42:10 We have shut off for many months now Braintree Express, which provides a PayPal Express checkout feature on step 1 of the checkout process. This was due to around 50% of transactions coming through with unconfirmed addresses therefore have no PayPal Seller Protection. We switched to PayPal Standard SB where every address is coming through as confirmed there qualify for PayPal Seller Protection. Since we now have Amazon Pay on Step 1 of the checkout process it would be nice to get Braintree Express back working again however the unconfirmed address issue needs to be fixed first. John

Is there a way to ensure that the address that is given is confirmed? Maybe it's an account option that you only accept confirmed addresses. Posted - 03/31/2020 : 06:12:02 Hi Vince, Yes we did speak to Braintree about this but we were not getting anywhere fast so we simply switched to PayPal Standard SB and turned it off so we could followup when we had the time. There are no PayPal options in Braintree... simply ON or OFF to accept PayPal. We can certainly log a new support call with Braintree and see if they have logs that go back to the last unconfirmed address. John
