I switched to "Authorize.Net Accept Hosted Integration" and followed the instructions to create webhook in Auth.net and everything "appears" to operate correctly, BUT I receive email from Auth.net stating the following:

---
We are unable to deliver notifications to Webhook ID xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx at your URL:
https://mysite.com/vsadmin/ppconfirm.asp

We will attempt to resend the notification to your Webhook up to 4 times every 2 days.

We will mark the Webhook inactive if, after the final retry, we still have not received a successful response from your server. When we mark the Webhook inactive, the URL will no longer receive any notifications for this Webhook ID.

For developer-specific information about Webhooks, please visit:

http://developer.authorize.net/api/reference/features/webhooks.html

The attached logs may help in troubleshooting. Please give the logs to your solution provider.

Sincerely,

Authorize.net
---

...and after that they simply go and disable the webhook that obviously creates an issue of payment confirmations not being reflected on the website.

When I set the webhook to "Inactive" and run a test, I get an error: "Error:Error occured in connecting to the endpoint: https://mysite.com/vsadmin/ppconfirm.asp."

I called Auth.net and had a looooong conversation with the tech support and was told that they are not seeing "200 OK" reply from my site and I should contact the developers...

Well, here I am :)

Please help!!!

Just an FYI - Not sure if it's related, but there was an authorize.net fix put out recently.
See the 2nd post by Vince here - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=112425&SearchTerms=Authorize.net

Thank you, Steve, but I have done ALL steps of configuration and everything is working WITH THE EXCEPTION of the Auth.net not receiving the proper response "200 OK" they are awaiting to receive from the webhook pointing to ppconfirm.asp file.

And, thank you, David, but the hot fix is not applicable in this instance.

Just to add, I had this issue in 7.1.8, 7.1.9, and now in 7.2.1 ASP versions

Hi Makc
Can you send me the site FTP login details to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) and I'll see if there is anything in the error logs about what the actual error is. At the same time can you ask Auth.net what response they are getting as I think they can view this in the webhook history.

My pleasure Makc and glad to help. If anyone else is having similar problems it was caused by having two sales channels using the same authorize.net account, only one of them being the cart and it was the webhooks generated by the other that caused problems. But there is an update in the vsadmin/ppconfirm.asp file so that this situation is handled more gracefully and so Auth.net doesn't stop the webhook.
