Digital Download Links Not Encrypting

Posted - 04/04/2020 : 10:52:55 ASP v7.1.9 I do not have ASPUpload installed on my server so here are my settings: digidownloads=true digidownloadpattern="\FOLDERNAMEMASKED\%pid%.zip" digidownloadsecret="fe2ls2pl2jJbIONowk234ksdf" digidownloadmethod="filesystem" digidownloademail="Your products can be downloaded for the next 3 days by going to the URL%nl%http://www.bacwebdesign.com/latedownload.asp?ordid=%orderid%&pass=%password%%nl%Or alternatively, go to the URL%nl%http://www.bacwebdesign.com/latedownload.asp%nl%. . . and enter the order ID %orderid% and password %password%%nl%%nl%" digidownloaddays=7 On the last order, my download links show as the full URL, meaning any future customer could download all my product files. Any idea what I'm missing in the parameters? Thank you! Cooper

Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 04/05/2020 : 01:31:57 Hi Bill I've been trying here and the only way I can reproduce what you are seeing is if I remove the digidownloadmethod parameter or change it to other than "filesystem". Can you double check that these parameters are in the includes.asp file in the vsadmin directory as well as any hidden vsadmin and that the digidownloadmethod parameter is not in there twice. I just emailed you the store admin information as well as the FTP information. I checked the includes.asp and it all lines up. I moved from a shared server environment to a virtual private server last month. Apparently, ASPUpload is free with the shared server (and was what I was using for years) but isn't available without a license on VPS. So I moved to "filesystem" and this is the result. If the way to fix this is a license for ASPUpload, please let me know, but my money is on user (me) error. Thank you! Bill
Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 04/05/2020 : 09:17:28 Hi Bill I see what the problem is and it is because you are using a really old version of the digital downloads plugin which doesn't have support for the "filesystem" option. If you've previously purchased the digital downloads then when you request the updater you should also get the latest digital downloads and you need to copy that to your site. There didn't seem to be an order for the digital downloads before so this is why it was not being included with the updaters.
