Hi, I have just run the v7.2.2 PHP updater and it completed without errors. I've now noticed on 2 separate sites, that the 'modify' button has disappeared on the categories page. It now just shows a 'dash' under both 'modify' and 'discounts. See here

Am I missing something?

A quick check of the console shows JS error
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '}'
on admincats.php

Thanks
Ellen

Hi Ellen

It would be advisable to upload all the files again and then run the updater again before starting to look somewhere else. I know you have received the message that everything updated correctly but that only relates to the actual database update. This is most likely related to one of the files not having made it up to your server.

I have updated two clients sites with the 7.2.2 and not experienced this is

Remember - Any edits to the ectcart.css file will be overwritten by updater's. ALL edits to ectcart.css rules should be placed in your style.css file

Thanks Steve, that's good advice. I have requested the updater zip again, and run everything again and definitely everything uploaded, all files successful on FTP. I have also updated 2 sites and both have the same issue.

Please could you have a look on your categories admin page, do you have a 'modify' button next to each category? Even after running the update again, mine both have a dash where the button should be, as in my screenshot in original post. I'm mystified, as I'm sure I've run the update correctly, so can only query if there could be a bug in this version.

Thank you
Ellen

Hi Ellen
My apologies but I broke something with a change in the categories admin adding the login level to the quick update. But it's fixed now and I just added the fix to the updater, so if you get a new copy and copy the inccats.php script to your site it should fix this.

Hi Ellen & Vince

Apologies Ellen for giving you bum info and thankfully, as usual, we have very swift corrections from Vince

I have just checked over my ECT test site that I applied the 7.2.2 updater too on the 21st April, which was after Vince had kindly added the feature to view category login levels via the quick entry drop down feature https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=112752. When I applied the 21st April 7.2.2 updater I had only checked the new feature was showing, silly me

I do see the issue on my test site. Having also just checked the two clients sites that I had updated to 7.2.2 they also show the issue.

I have downloaded the latest updater and applied that to my test site and all is tickety-boo.

Hi Steve
Yes, the problem only happened, Steve, when nothing was selected from the quick update so that's why we didn't notice. But thanks for chipping in and helping out as always!

Hi Vince & Steve,

Many thanks for the replies and fix - all good now.
I'm sure many times any issues after updater are due to missing files etc!

Thanks
Ellen
