We have just restarted our company and brought the website back on line.

I have an issue with some product photos showing a broken image icon but there is nothing wrong with the photos.
I've brought them into Photoshop with no issues, saved them back out again and republished them to the website but they still show a broken image icon.

The photo indicator in the Product management area is just like all the others and everything is as it should be on other settings.

Any ideas on this one?

Walt

An example would be helpful here.

Hi Walt

Looking at https://www.rustystumps.com/products.php?pg=2 I see some of the images are not showing and it appears that the images referenced are not on the server in the prodimages folder. I would check the images are definitely in the prodimages folder.

An example is the 90 degree elbow for 1/32" Dia Rod with product ID P41, when right clicking to view the image to this location https://www.rustystumps.com/prodimages/P41.jpg returns a not found.

I've solved the issue.

Early on I separated The HVAC and Pipe fitting products from the rest of the products by putting their photos in separate directories.
The Product Images directory was getting unwieldy because of the very large number of photos.

The web consultant wasn't aware of this so some tags got pointed to the wrong directory. I'm slowly cleaning all that up now.

I didn't communicate what I should have. Live and learn but at 78 that gets daunting.

Hi Walt

Good to hear it's sorted.
