I was thinking of possibly using Quantity Pricing but on looking in the latest User Manual it mentions it but no description of how it works.
Open to some input on this.

Thanks David. Strange that isn't in the new User Instructions.

Looking the Quantity Pricing over it's not quite what I wanted.
Maybe have to see what else I can do.
Basically what I want it Bulk Pricing. 1 for $, 25 for $$, 50 for $$$, etc.
Might be able to work that into the Quantity Pricing, we'll see. [grin]

Hi Walt
That really does sound like exactly what Quantity Pricing is designed to do. Why not give it a go and see if it works for you?

Hi, Vince,

Not really. My parts are small so the pricing would be such example:

1 bag (6 pieces) $6.95

Bulk 25 Pieces $20.00

Bulk 50 Pieces $40.00

Bulk 100 pieces $60.00

This is just a rough idea of how it goes. Quantity prices would vary depending on the each particular part.
I have over 2,000 such parts.

I've had a lot of customers asking for this kind of pricing.

Hi Walt, wouldn't that be something like
1 = 1.16 each (rounded)
25 = 0.80 each
50 = 0.80 each (your example has 50 the same price as 25)
100 = 0.60 each

David that was just an example not an actual product.
This is the Quantity Pricing will use the values between the first and second entries to set of interim quantities.
Thus 1 - 9, 10 - 20, etc. That doesn't work for me.

For my pricing it's
1 bag of 6 pieces,
1 bag of 25 pieces,
1 bag of 50 pieces,
1 bag of 100 pieces

Each product has different pricing so Options is not a solution but neither is the Quantity Pricing.
What I'm looking for is fixed Bulk Pricing as shown.

On my website www.rustystumps.com the HVAC fittings is a prime example of where I need to apply Bulk Pricing in the groups above.

Ok, so I understand the quantity pricing issue. You want the customer to purchase only select quantities.
But it seems that you could use product options for that.
The first option (default) would be pack of 6 for the product price of 6.95
the second option would be pack of 25 with an upcharge of 13.05 (the 6.95 and 13.05 would come to 20.00 the customer would be charged)
the third option pack of 100 might be upcharge of 33.05 (the 6.95 and 33.05 would come to 40.00 the customer would be charged)

I am not following why that would not work.
If forces the customer to select only the bulk quantities you offer and charges the correct price.

Thanks,
David

We have a long term client with a rather similar issue. In his case, it's things like:

Pair $5.00
Three pair $10.00
Dozen pair $30.00
Full case $whatever

It's a math nightmare. The only way we've been able to manage it is with options (i.e. a "price option") and in some cases dependent options. It is kinda clumsy but it does work. You will wind up with lot of options.

Peter, different kinds of products.
Mine are small detail 3D prints and castings for mainly model railroading.
Some buy 1 or 2 but there are others who want large quantities, at a discount of course, for club layouts.
