I need to setup a max shopping cart dollar amount or Item amount. I need to this because our trucks can only hold so much and when a large order comes in our system cannot handle it which leads to our CSR having to break up the order in the system which leads to problems. So I want the shopping cart to prevent an order over 4400 items or a certain dollar amount. It does not have to prompt them I can program in some language on the web site that states maximum orders.

I'm afraid there isn't a way to do this as, as you can imagine, it's not that common a problem to have people buying too much. There is a system in place to ensure a minimum order amount so maybe if you ask in the MODs forums below someone could adapt this for you so that it puts a maximum in place.
