Hi,

Hi,

Now there is a new problem with stripe payments and information going to the shipping software: shipstation.

My client is using shipstation and when using Stripe payment with credit cards, the shipsation has no order at all.
They can't import any order from the store site,because the stripe order does not have item detail description.
It is an order item detail problem with stripe.

How can I solve this?

Hi, how did you connect your store to Ship Station?
Did you purchase the connector software from Dean here, or you use some other integration?

Hi, there is the thread here - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=104205 and really, the ship station connection doesn't have anything to do with the payment processor. It works based on the status of the order in the admin, so unless you have a custom solution that relies on the payment processor, it should not have any bearing on the connection between the store and ship station.

That's really odd.
Because he started to have this problem once I activated the stripe payments.

Anyway, I will have a look at that thread to see if I can get some clarity about this.

Hi Gaby, were you able to confirm that the client is using Dean's connection tool?

If so, one thing that will break the connection is changing the status names in the admin. If you do that, you will need to make changes in ship station so it will continue to work.

Hi David,

I just looked in my mail and there seems that there is no order from his store.

And, what do you mean "changing the status name in the admin"?
What changes are necessary in shipstation?

In ship station (If you are using Dean's connector tool), you must set the status types to match the public facing text in your admin.

My client contacted Stripe support and their answer is this:

"You can add description on the order item by adding description as an additional parameter in the payment intent data on your checkout session. You may refer to this link for further details.

Hi Gaby, I don't think stripe has anything to do with ship station unless you are somehow using strip to populate your orders into ship station, and if so, I have no knowledge on that setup.

I think the best choice for now is the add-on from Dean.
I am contacting him to ask for the installation of this.

I just bought the add-on for the shipstation, and I don't know what to do with it.
I contacted Dean (@ecws), but waiting for a response.

If there is a standard procedure for adds-on? If that so, where is it?

Hi Gaby,

When you unzip the package there should be a file called ShipStation Integration.pdf in addition to the php file that you need.
