 Side Filter Not Allowing Multiple Selections

Hi,

I'm using the side filter with $sidefilterstyle='multiple'; On some of my product pages it works as expected, for example craft-productsdotcom/dolls-house-wallpaper.php, but on most pages it does not allow multiple selections, for example craft-productsdotcom/dolls-house-carpet.php where the filter options disappear after one has been selected. As it is working correctly on some pages I suspect that there could be an issue with the way the products and attributes are set up, but I can't work out what it is. I'd be grateful for any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Richard.

Hi Richard
Can you try adding the parameter...
$displayzeroattributes=TRUE;

Hi Vince,

I tried $displayzeroattributes=TRUE; as suggested and this does stop the options from disappearing although the list of options is too long to use with this setting. This did allow me to see more clearly what is happening though ..The number of products with each attribute (shown in brackets) changes after a selection has been made so it only shows the number of products with the selected attribute AND the previously selected attributes. So for example on the carpet page it shows Carpets (36) and Rugs (48) ..when I select the Carpets option the Rugs option changes to zero and disappears so multiple selections are not possible. This doesn't happen on the wallpaper page, but this is due to the fact that one of the products has all of the attributes set so the number of products for each option never goes to zero.

I did raise this issue a long time ago soon after the Side Filter 2 was introduced and I stopped using it for this reason. When I recently just tested it on the wallpaper page I assumed it had been fixed.

Would it be possible to change the filter so when $sidefilterstyle='multiple'; is set the product count doesn't change according to previous selections? The Manufacturer section of the filter already appears to work this way.

Richard.
