Hello,

We are running 6.8.1 and have seen several carts deleted after (or at the same time as) experiencing either a bot or a script hitting the store and adding a ton of product to an order. All of the orders that had carts missing had the same IP address logged as the bot. We deleted the order from the bot/script, banned the IP, and restored the missing carts from backup. So no long term damage done, but it is concerning/annoying.

Have you guys seen this before? Is there a specific script I should be looking at to secure our installation?

Hi Josh

The 6.8.1 version is a three year old version of the cart & there have been numerous enhancements since then. I'd be looking at first of all upgrading to the latest version.

There has been some changes in the IP blocking since that version as well.
