LinkedIn share causes Product to add on Cart

Posted - 02/05/2021 : 08:18:10 Hi, I am using the Premium version of Shopping Cart application(Classic ASP) and I am running into an issue with LinkedIn share. On Product details page, whenever user clicks on LinkedIn share icon, product detail page also refreshes and causes the Product to get automatically added into the cart without even clicking the "Add to Cart" option. I am using Ecommerce PlusASP v7.1.11 Please advise what could be wrong here?
Vince Administrator 42756 Posts	Posted - 02/05/2021 : 09:51:49 Hi Danh The problem comes from the fact that an HTML5 <button> tag's default type is not "button" but rather "submit". To make it act as a button you have to give it the type="button" attribute but linkedIn haven't done this. I've tried bringing this up with them but it seems they haven't fixed it so I'll see about doing our own linkedIn button somehow if possible.
