Hi Michael
As I already had your FTP login I changed the db_conn_open.php file as per...
https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=107737
...and you should be PHP7+ ready. Do add the ectcart.css and ectcart.js files as here as otherwise you won't be able to add to cart...

Thanks Vince, I'll do that next thing.

Since this is a test site (scary moving to next). I still have some sites that are broken by UPS and need to get fix ASAP. Vince, FYI the UPS issues seem fixed and appears I can now re-register.
The 3 sites that need fixing are responsive design and have CSS on them. If some of the css classes have same name but different settings, how do I keep the current version of settings with our re-writing and starting over in tweaking?

OK: off the buy 2 more updaters so that I'm legal again

Thanks

Michael

Hi Vince & Peter, I got the answer to my css question.

When I moved to PHP 7.2 the admin pages crash, but product pages still work and I can add items to cart and checkout. Vince I emailed you the error message because there is sensitive info in the error message.

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael
I believe this is because I made the changes in the site db_conn_open.php file...

But I hadn't made changes in your hidden vsadmin directory db_conn_open.php file so you need to do the same there too.

Hi Michael,
One other thing, you don't really need to have a secret admin any more, you can set a login key for the vsadmin directory which is more than adequate. Basically with the login key added in the includes.php if anybody does try to access the vsadmin/login.php page without entering the login key in the url they will not be able to even attempt to login, they'll be directed to a message:- Login Disabled:(Admin Login Key Error) if the key isn't present in the url

More information here
https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/phphelp/ecommplus/parameters.asp#loginkey

Not only does this give you the same or even better security, it also saves you the hassle of updating two directories every time you update the software

Thanks Phil, I will do that after I can get all back online again.

The UPS crashing suddenly was not on my "to do" list until BAMM! Now it's to the front of the line.
