I have a customer that points many customers to our site to purchase items. I would like to somehow compensate him for the purchases.

We have thought about giving those customers a discount code. Can we somehow track/search for specific discounts codes between dates?

Why not use the affiliate program?
That's what it's made for. It will even calculate how much you owe them.

It actually works without setting the whole thing up on the front end of the website.
You can create an affiliate ID in your admin for them and they can use that to refer people.

Just give them a link with their ID www.website.com/page.php?partner=theid

Of course you can manually add their affiliate ID to orders as well.

In your admin, once it's working, you can pull a report that shows their sales and how much you owe them in commission.

I figured out how to link using the "PARTNER=" to the site but can I add it to the end of a category link like this?
