Hello,

I recently updated to v.7.3.8 from v.7.0.8 and have encountered the following error when attempting to clone an existing product in the database:

"Operation Failed! Data Type Mismatch in Criteria Expression."

Interestingly, I do not get the same error when I modify (rename) the product that I was not able to clone.

I've taken a look at the error logs, but they really aren't much help in identifying the .asp file and line # where the error occurred.

Not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Victa

Hi Victa
The v7.4 version is the new "Stability Version" so would the idea be to update to that version and see if the error still occurs? If it does then we can start pulling things to pieces but it's highly likely it will just sort itself out. Also, make sure you run the updatestore.asp file in your browser.

Hello,

I noticed in the error logs that I'm getting a 404 error for GET /vsadmin/ectadmincustom.css and I do not see that file on the server.

Is it possible that I am missing that file from my recent update?

Thanks, Victa

No, you are not missing that file from the updater. This style sheet does not normally exist, but can be created by yourself to customise areas of the admin if you require too. Create the file on the server & that should clear the error message you mention.

As for your original issue, did the advice Vince posted cure the original issue? If so, fine, if not I'm sure Vince will be in contact.

Would using FileExists/file_exists() be a little less untidy than writing errors to the log all day (same with the db check)?

Steve,
Thank you for your reply. Didn't think it was the source of my original problem, but I was curious about it.

As it turns out (using a lot of trial and error) the original error message resulted from one of my custom fields being set to 2 decimal places instead of "auto."

Issue is now resolved. Thank you, Victa

Fair comment so I've made the changes now and will add them to the updater later.
