When I bring up our mailing list it's just email addresses for most of them even though there are names associated with those address if I look them up in our customer list. Shouldn't the names be copied to the email list as well?

The name in the mailing list was added later so it could be that the mailing list entries were made before the name was available. Any additions now will be added with the name.
