It's undercharging on the UPS fees. It's supposedly set to charge the published rate and not my negotiated rate. But, it's not even charging the negotiated rate.

How do I resolve this?

Is there a way to identify addresses as commercial or residential so they charge accordingly?

Hi KenLane
Could you run a package through your cart and then through the ups.com site and then let me know what you get for each of these plus the origin and destination zip + package weight so I can recreate here.

Okay, the two examples I tried gave me a surplus. Given how shipping rates have climbed lately I need it.

I want to try disabling USPS for now, entirely. How do I do that?

Hi KenLane
You would just go to the ECT Admin -> Main Settings page and look under the Shipping & Handling section and disable USPS there.

I assume you are offering both USPS and UPS rates no? And you want to remove the USPS? If that's the case then you are using Alternate Rates so go to the ECT Admin -> Main Settings page and look under the Shipping & Handling section and I would imagine you have USPS rates checked as one of those Alternate Shipping Rates. If this is not the case can you please let me know.

I'm running out of time. It now only shows UPS but it's not giving me any rates.

Please respond immediately. Preferably, call me by phone so I can accomplish this. I need this addressed in the next two hours without fail.

Okay... bottom line. I want to disable weight-based shipping and strictly use UPS.

Right now, it is not charging enough with USPS. It wants to charge less than $32 for 26 lbs going to Alaska. I can't do that.

I need your help getting this done immediately. It's been three hours since I've heard from anyone.

Hi Ken, what version of the cart are you on?
For a long time now, you turn on and off shipping services in the admin > main settings.

It would be odd for you not to see it there unless you are on a really old version of the cart.

Hi KenLane
As this seems to be an urgent issue I did this for you now. You did not have USPS shipping enabled but you had weight based shipping as well as UPS and I think that is what you wanted to remove. I set the system to not use Alternate Rates as you are now only using UPS. The Shipping and Handling section was in the ECT Admin -> Main Settings page as expected.

That's exactly what I needed.

The USPS rates were coming up short on me and people would default to that on items that were costing more.

Also, the UPS rates are more inline with what I needed to see come up.

Vince, I appreciate your help.

Okay, it's not charging correct UPS...

It won't go up above $85 for a shipment to Alaska. The other day, it charged an appropriate $111. Now, the shipment is more than doubled in weight and volume but the shipping charge is lower.

I'm having to manually enter the shipping.

Resolution, soon. Please.

What you need to do then is run a product through the cart and note the shipping cost and then go to UPS.com and get a rating for the shipment there. Then can you let us know what that is along with the weight, source and destination zip of the package.

Hi, my advise would be to set $GLOBALS['dumpshippingxml']=TRUE; to includes to see the XML returned when placing a test order.
If you site is busy, you might do this in off peak hours
Copy the XML returned on the page and then remove that settings from includes.
You can paste the XML here, or message it to me.

It will tell us what's being sent off to the carrier for the rate request.

You should run a test order with the items mentioned in your post, to that zip code and on the page, there will be a good bit of XML code showing.
This will show what's being sent over for the rate request.

Why the big difference when packed? Is this the problem here that you need to add the packaging dimensions / weight to the items in order to match what you are actually shipping?
