The dimensions are required in the event dimensional weight kicks in on lighter packages. I rarely encounter that but have seen it.

Yes. Those are the same dimensions in the product detail page.

Hi KenLane
I haven't got the source ZIP so am just using 90210, and using that zip and these dimensions...

Pkg 1: 44 lbs - 22x13x13 - 4 @ DOW-4109803-14OZ-CS10
Pkg 2: 17 lbs - 14x12x10 - 1 @ DOW-4109803-14OZ-CS10, 1 @ DOW-4109803-14OZ-CS10

...I get $306 for UPS Ground through the cart. I really do get the idea that the weights and dimensions you have entered in your products admin are not the same as the ones that you are using to rate the package at UPS.com. Could you double check what you have for instance?

Sorry. Origination zip code is my address at 76574.

The weights in the site are slightly higher to account for slight variations that may be required in shipping. So, the site's calculation should be higher. But, it's not.

I get the same result when starting a completely new order.

I'll just leave this here...

quote:
Hi, my advise would be to set $GLOBALS['dumpshippingxml']=TRUE; to includes to see the XML returned when placing a test order.
If you site is busy, you might do this in off peak hours
Copy the XML returned on the page and then remove that settings from includes.
You can paste the XML here, or message it to me.

It will tell us what's being sent off to the carrier for the rate request.

Dave,

I have no clue where I'd make those changes. I'm a user, not a programmer.

You've never added a setting, or turned on/off a setting in your includes file, ever?
Thanks,
David

Dave,

Yes, ages ago. But, that wasn't specified in your remarks.

Is that line supposed to already be there? I'm not finding it directly or by search of "GLOBALS".

If I need to add it, under what section should it be located?

Under: //$pathtossl = "https://www.austinflightcheck.com/"; ?

Hi Ken

No, you won't find that line in the includes file.

If you have FTP access go to vsadmin folder, find & open includes.php then add the following
line.

$GLOBALS['dumpshippingxml']=TRUE;

Then, carry out your own test order, add the XML output showing on the page once order is
submitted & paste that here or forward to Dave, or Vince, so as they can establish any issue.

As Dave stated it's probably best to do it when your website is at its quietest to avoid
any customers who may place orders while the line is active in the includes file from seeing the
debug output.

Make sure once the test order has been placed to remove the line from your includes.php file.

Hi Ken, if you want me to do this for you, click my user name and send over the FTP details and I'll run the test to get the info being sent to the shipping carriers.
This is likely just down to a setting you have that's causing the much lower (than retail) rates.

Thanks,
David
