Hi,

Every day we delete a lot of spam added via the gift certificate form, even though we use a captcha and $giftcertificateminimum=5;

The reason for this seems to be that as soon as a gift certificate is added to the basket it appears in admin and in inactive cerificates.
This is different to a standard order which will not appear in admin until the delivery page of the cart is reached.

Is there a way of doing something similar with a gift certificate, where you must at least go through some of the payment process before it appears in admin?

That's a good point so I've made the changes now in the vsadmin/ajaxservice.asp/php file. Now the GC's will behave in the same way as the New Orders section in that they will display once an order is created but not necessarily authorized.

Hi Vince,

I just tested this and it no longer shows on the admin page as a gift certificate, which is great, however it does still appear in inactive certificates. Is there a way to keep it out of inactive certificates too?

Ok, good point and there are now 3 options when listing Gift Certificates . . . active, inactive and uncomplete. The active are authorized and have a positive balance. The inactive authorized and zero balance and the uncomplete have not been authorized.
