An update...problem resolved, hopefully forever.
  The url I was using was input as an "http" not an "https"
  Everything redirects to an https when it hits my site. The redirect created the error, once I modified it to the correct secure link, the error vanished.
  Frustrating part of all this was:   a) ShipStation support took months to respond   b) There's no where in the ShipStation app that tells you what the current setting is (displaying the url) that I know of. SHipStation support finally sent me a screenshot of a window on the back end.
  I'm happy its resolved. Devil's in the details!
