I wonder if anybody else is encountering this regarding agreement to receive promotional emails? On a new website running Ecommerce Plus PHP v7.5.4, in the [purple]includes.php[/purple] file I have these entries:
[font=Courier New]
[orange]// EMAIL NEWS LIST settings[/orange]
$nomailinglist=[maroon]FALSE[/maroon]; [orange]// Email news list signup, TRUE (don't use) or FALSE (Yes, have mailing list)
// $mailinglistdropdown=[green]TRUE[/green];[/orange]
$mailinglistradios=[green]TRUE[/green];$allowemaildefaulton=[green]TRUE[/green]; [orange]// Upon creating new account, customer automatically subscribes to email news, TRUE or FALSE.[/orange]
$noconfirmationemail=[green]TRUE[/green]; [orange]// Upon creating new account, send customer an email requiring they click to confirm email address, FALSE=Yes, TRUE=No.[/orange][/font=Courier New]
When a visitor selects "Create New Account" the "Subscribe to Email News" box IS TICKED YES by default, as per
$allowemaildefaulton=[green]TRUE[/green]. That YES setting is then properly saved when the Account is Created. All good

But when that customer orders and proceeds to Checkout Step 2, we have "Subscribe to Email News" radio boxes
YES and NO which are not ticked, thus requiring the customer to confirm their agreement to receive promotional emails again, and again on every occasion they proceed through the checkout. Isn't that wierd

Can I suggest that YES or NO dropdown menu or radio button options at Checkout Step 2 are not the best way to go at all. Would it not be better to have
ONE Check Box ... exactly the same as what appears in the Customer Account page? Ticked = YES. Unticked = NO. And have that selection automatically displayed at Checkout Step 2?
