We are moving to a new host. The site is up, but the ecommerce templates store is not working because the database is not connecting. I exported the database from the old host to an sql.gz file with a backup wizard and then created a new database on the new host and imported this file with phpMyAdmin. In File Manager, I edited 4 files on the new host with the new username, password, and database name on the new host, keeping the localhost as it was. The 4 files are in the main and hidden vsadmin folders. They are db_conn_open and db_conn_open1. I initially just edited the open and not open1 files but got this error. With all 4 files edited, I am still getting the same error and it refers to the old username:
Database Connect Error (1045) Access denied for user 'harpsea1_toreown'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
You need to set your database connection in vsadmin/db_conn_open.php

I FOUND THE PROBLEM. I HAD NOT COMPLETED THE USER SET UP FOR THE DATABASE. I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT IT WASN'T AUTOMATICALLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE RIGHT DATABASE. I COMPLETED THE USER SET UP, AND NOW IT WORKS.
