Hi, the shopping card does use cookies. The are needed to keep track of certain data during the customers shopping experience.
As for privacy policy, you can create your own (there are lot's of examples online) by cloning an existing page and rename it privacy.asp for example.

Thanks,
David

Hi, there is nothing built into the cart, but you can create your own.
A quick search reveals quite a few sites with free generator tools

FYI - I don't think, if you are US based, you must have the cookie agreement form. Although some states may technically require it.
This is mostly a Europe thing as far as I know.
If you are based in Europe, or see there, you are likely required to have it.
I have not heard of google demoting sites for not having it.
For my website, we cover it in our privacy policy.

As far as I know, the cookies generated by the cart are all essential for the operation of the site, and those are excluded from these laws.
If you have social media or google analytic tracking on your site, then those may fall under law.

There is quite a bit of info out there if you search the internet for something like "am I required to have a cookie policy on my website"

Thanks,
David
