Hello there! I'm a bit rusty and need a bit of help.

The product detail page shows the Date Added and the Product ID. I want to omit both. I've tried deleting the variables in BOLD in this Includes statement, but that is not working.

$GLOBALS['detailpagelayout']='navigation, checkoutbutton, productimage, productid, manufacturer, sku, productname, discounts, instock, description, listprice, price, quantity, currency, dateadded, options, addtocart, previousnext, emailfriend, reviews';

What am I not understanding or what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance -- DeeAnna

Hi DeeAnna
I had a look at your site and don't see the product id or the date added on the details page. Could you post a link where you see these?

My apologies, Vince -- I should have given a link to an example. It's the other website (Hyldes Garden) that you've been helping me with.

Here it is -- https://hyldesgarden.com/dp/Elderberry%2C-frozen%2C-5-lb-bulk--pkg

Hi DeeAnna
Ok, this is because this is a WordPress site and so in order to use the settings from the includes.php file you have to go to...
WordPress Admin -> Appearance -> Customize -> ECT Theme Settings
Then make sure you set "Layout Definitions: Use custom layouts defined in vsadmin/includes.php"

Hi, Vince --

Wow -- I'm not surprised I forgot about this setting change. It's well buried.

Thanks -- all is well now. --DeeAnna

In case anyone else is having this problem, I've updated the ECT Widgets so that you can now remove in the WordPress Customizer the Date Added, Product ID and Detail Page Short Description fields without having to set the parameters in the includes.php file. You can get a new copy of the ECT Widgets here...

Thank you, Vince! I'm sure this will come in handy. I'll update the ECT widgets on this website and test it out. --DeeAnna
